2016-2017. Designing and building this boat has been the most satisfying time of my career so far. I was confident in my CAD development but it was time to finally build it. My only project to date where i designed all the models, programmed tool paths for every mold/plug and cut them on the router myself. Everything fit together well despite the challenges we had with the mill and crash course in infused parts. Fusion 360 was improving and I built a full assembly model and all of the tool paths to cut the molds with it. The boat looked amazing and ran great topping out at 130 with the 1100’s. I was able to use the engine hatch hinge I designed for the 54 and the deck had a custom speaker pod. In the cockpit I developed a center console that lifted up allowing access to the cabin and forward deck. It gave the cockpit an automotive look as there was no visible walkway and allowed the helm to be set up with the traditional pilot / throttleman layout.
